Welcome to Simply the Gospel.

"Brethren, there is nothing in the gospel, apart from the Spirit of God, which can save a man, for man hates the gospel with all his heart! Though the reasonableness of the gospel of Jesus ought to make the belief of it universal, yet its plain dealing with human sin excites deadly antagonism. Therefore, the gospel itself would make no progress were it not for the divine power. There is an invisible arm which pushes forward the conquests of the truth. There is a fire unfed with human fuel, which burns a way for the truth of Jesus Christ into the hearts of men."

-Charles Haddon Spurgeon

"Simply the Gospel" succinctly encapsulates the message we hope will clearly come across to you, the reader: the Gospel is, indeed, simple.

But, not only is the message of the Gospel simple, it is also universal. Salvation by grace alone through faith alone in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ alone to the Glory of God alone is not limited to a specific ethnic group or individuals of a certain intellectual level. God's immeasurable saving grace extends to all, without distinction of race, nationality, ethnicity, or intellectual ability.

Therefore, it is our goal that this website contains articles, book reviews, biographical sketches, and even links to websites, each pertaining to a common theme, which we pray will help the reader to better understand the nature and power of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. As the Apostle Paul states in Romans 1:16: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."

Also, much of the material available through Simply the Gospel will be written, not by biblical scholars, seminary professors, or even formal leaders in the local church; but, rather, by Christians of all ages whom the Lord has given a common passion to know Him and His written word. Therefore, one need not possess an advanced theological degree in order to understand, appreciate, and benefit from the content of this endeavor.

Soli Deo Gloria!
